Terms of Service

1. The service

We build, host and maintain a website for your contracting business. Depending on your plan and setup, the service includes:

• a four-page or single-page website built from the details you give us;
• hosting, security certificates and technical upkeep;
• ongoing blog articles about your services and area;
• Google Business Profile posts and updates, once you give us access;
• free lead capture through Hub5, our lead and job management partner.

We may improve or change features over time. We will tell you before a change that materially reduces what you pay for.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and give us accurate, current information about yourself and your business. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity in your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed it.

3. Preview, approval and payment

When you sign up, you pay a one-time setup fee of $100. We start building your website once the setup fee is paid and you have confirmed your email address. If an offer waives the setup fee, your sign-up is reviewed by our team before the build starts.

We build a private preview of your website and email you when it is ready. Hosting of $20 per month, and any domain you buy through us, is paid only after you approve the preview. Applicable taxes are added where required. These are our current standard prices; the price you are shown at checkout is the one that applies to you. Special offers apply only under the conditions shown with that offer.

Hosting renews automatically every month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. If a payment fails, we will try again and let you know. While an account is unpaid, we may pause new content, and if it stays unpaid we may suspend the service: your website may be paused or replaced by a holding page and your portal may become read-only until the balance is paid.

We may change our prices for the future. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects your subscription.

The setup fee pays for building your website and is non-refundable once we have started work on your site.

4. Revisions

Your plan includes 2 revisions after your preview. A revision is all the changes you send us together in one request. Additional revisions cost $50 each: extra revisions requested before your hosting payment are added to the hosting checkout, and after that they are paid before our team starts work. Updating your own business details in the portal is not a revision.

5. Domains

You can connect a domain you already own or buy one through us. A domain bought through us is a separate charge, registered through our registrar partner and renewed yearly until you cancel it. If the registrar's price for your domain changes before we can register it, or registration fails, we refund that charge.

A domain bought through us is yours: it is registered for you, and you keep it if you leave. Ask us and we will transfer it to you or to the registrar of your choice. Renewals bought through us stop when you cancel them or your service ends.

If you connect your own domain, you remain responsible for its registration and renewal with your registrar, and for keeping the DNS settings we give you in place.

6. Your content

The materials you give us stay yours: your business details, logo, photos and the text you write ("your materials"). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, adapt, display and publish your materials as needed to provide the service, including on your website, your Google Business Profile and in related marketing of your site. This license ends when your service ends, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or as required by law.

You confirm that you have the rights to your materials, including any logo, photos or trademarks, and that they are accurate and do not infringe anyone else's rights. If you import a logo from a partner such as ContractorTShirts, you confirm it is yours to use.

7. AI-assisted content

We use automated tools, including AI models, to help write and maintain your site: for example to suggest services, color palettes and an About section during sign-up, and to draft blog articles. Our tools are instructed to use only the facts you provide, and articles pass automated review before publishing. Even so, automated content can contain mistakes.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your business details, such as licenses, insurance, warranties and service areas. If something on your site is wrong or not right for your business, flag it in your portal and we will remove or rewrite it.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to publish anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing; to send spam; to impersonate another business; or to interfere with the service or other customers. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

9. The website we build

The website we build for you, and everything we create for it, belongs to i9 Labs: its design, code and templates, the text and articles we write, the images we create and the color palette we apply. Your subscription gives you the right to use the website for your business while your service is active. It does not transfer ownership of the website or its content to you. Your own materials remain yours, as described above.

10. Third-party services

Parts of the service rely on other companies, including payment processing (Stripe), domain registration, hosting and network providers, Google and Hub5. Their own terms may also apply to you. We are not responsible for outages or changes on their side, but we will work to keep your website running.

11. No guarantees of results

We work to make your website effective, but we cannot promise any particular search ranking, traffic, number of leads or revenue. Search engines and other platforms decide how your business appears.

12. Cancellation

You can cancel your hosting at any time from your portal or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, after which your website is taken offline. Because the website and the content we created belong to i9 Labs, you cannot take the website, its design or that content with you when you cancel. Your domain and your own materials remain yours.

We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

13. Disclaimers and limits of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, i9 Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims by third parties caused by your content or your breach of these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in your portal at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you and we agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
